Washington, DC is the capital of the United States and my mother's hometown. When I was a kid, we used to drive there from Florida for vacation. I loved wandering around the Smithsonian Museums and the monuments along the National Mall.

It is a wonderful city to visit - although hot and crowded in the summer - especially because so many of the attractions are free. All three of the Framed! books take place in and around the city and it is a prime location in City Spies 5.
